ABOUT ME

I am based in Cape Town, South Africa. I have a home-based studio where I spend my time creating special pieces of art and tiny ceramics. I began my journey as a self-taught artist in 1994. 

My inspiration is drawn from feelings of emotion, mood and colour.  Over the past few years I have spent many, many hours walking through the beautiful nature of the Cape which strongly feeds into my creativity. I am gently obsessed with fine lines and my use of colour is instinctive. 

My interest in ceramics started a few years later.  Adding to my creative journey, I started making small ceramic pieces and painting my own designs on them.  

It is important to me that each piece I create preserves it's own unmistakable individuality.  This I portray through my own unique style.
I work on one art piece at a time from start to finish.  Making sure that each piece carries it's own uniqueness. 

It is a great pleasure to be able to create each day. As an artist I nurture my talent,  feed it and most of all use it.

I have exhibited my artwork at many exhibitions over the years.  My artworks hang in galleries, private homes and corporate collections throughout South Africa and various parts of the world.
